(Ph. D. 2016) Lauren is an associate professor in the Logic and Philosophy of Science Department at the University of California, Irvine.  Her research concerns explanation and causation, particularly in the domains of biology, neuroscience, and medicine.

(Ph. D. 2016) Jennifer is an assistant professor in the Philosophy Department at Duke University. Jennifer’s research concerns epistemology, game theory, and philosophy of economics. 

(Ph. D. 2019) Haixin is Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska, Omaha. Her reseach focuses on on social epistemology and philosophy of science. She has additional research interests in ethics and social ontology.

Jeff Sykora

(Ph.D. 2019) Jeff is pursuing a second Ph. D in the University of Kentucky Physical Therapy Program.

(Ph.D. 2021) Beginning in Fall 2023, Jacob will be an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at the University of Oregon. Previously he was a Postdoctoral Associate at the Rotman Institute of Philosophy at Western University. His primary research interests are in philosophy of science and philosophy of biology. Most of his work focuses on the molecular life sciences – biophysics, biochemistry, and structural and molecular biology. Tom Wysocki

(Ph. D. expected, 2023). Tom will begin a postdoctoral position at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen in 2023. He works primarily on causation and causal reasoning.

Michael is writing a dissertation on issues having to do with the amalgamation of evidence from different sources.

Justin is writing a dissertation on issues having to do with statistical evidence, discrimination, and causation and different conceptions of fairness.
